Alternative Loans
Just wondering if you have applied/ started to apply for alternative loans. I got this information a little late (some type of email glitch I think) and I wanted to know if anyone had any advice or did any research on the process. Are you using the graduate PLUS program?
I'm just a little nervous about taking out loans for so much money....

I haven't gotten any financial information from Temple yet, so I haven't applied for loans either. What information did you get and when did you receive it? I also was leaning towards graduate PLUS loans. The amount of money is daunting, but I suppose it has to be done.
I have yet to receive anything but the Stafford loan award letter...no promissory note yet for them though. The financial office said that they would be recommending the gradplus loans to cover outstanding expenses (which is everything but tuition really)---but I haven't had any communication regarding alternative loans.
Well, I had only recieved an award letter that showed my loans and I thought there would be more information...I waited a while and got nothing and then got paranoid. When I called the fin aid office, a student told me that they emailed info out about alternative loans already and to check my email. i checked..and nothing..so i called them back and asked them to send me more information about alternative loans. i thought there would be more 'aid'...i asked if i could apply for other grants/ scholarships..and she (student) said..no. if you want the info, call fin aid or give me your email add and i'll send you the info...mine is tdulani@gmail.com
